Athens Stock Exchange: On negative ground the general index moves – with fluctuations in the Euro -markets

Mild downward trends record shares prices in the opening of today (21.5.2025) session of Stock market Athens, in the midst of declining fluctuations in the Euroans.

The market corrects after three upward meetings and a total of 2.33% and the recording of new high 15 years. The General Price Index on the Greek Stock Exchange stands at 1,823.34 points, declining 0.23%. The value of the transactions is € 17.67 million. The high capitalization index declines at 0.29%, while the medium capitalization index is up to 0.21%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Sarantis (+1.31%), Optima (+1.22%), Lamda Development (+1.21%) and Greece (+0.93%) recorded the highest. On the other hand, the shares of PPC (-2.40%), Eurobank (-1.01%), OPAP (-0.88%) and Motor Oil (-0.70%) recorded the biggest decline.

43 shares move up, 38 down and 16 remain constant.

The shares were the largest rise: Cepver (+10.00%) and Mathios Pyrimhaha (+7.83%), while the shares drop the largest decline: Leventeris (K) (-9.65%) and PPC (-2.40%).

European stock markets

European shares have fallen from high -level levels today at the start of transactions, with investors focusing their attention on trade developments in the US.

The Pan -European Stoxx 600 index declines 0.20%. The FTSE 100 on the London Stock Exchange is marginally rose 0.03%, the German DAX also +0.02%, the French CAC 40 is down -0.36%, the FTSE MIB in Milan gets +0.17%and Spanish Ibex 35 +0.21%.

Investors are concerned about the lack of progress on trade agreements as time runs until the expiration of 90 days of suspension of Donald Trump’s duties as well as the tax bill promoted by the US president who raises concerns about the country’s budget.
