Share prices register weak upward trends today (6.12.2024) at the opening of the last meeting of the week in Stock exchange of Athens, amid nervousness in the European markets.
The market has completed four bullish sessions during which the main stock index recorded a total gain of 4.47%. In particular, the General Index on the Greek stock exchange at 11:00, stands at 1,458.24 points, marking an increase of 0.17%. The value of the transactions amounts to 11.65 million. euro.
The large-cap index is up marginally at 0.08%, while the mid-cap index is up 0.71%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+0.85%), Coca Cola HBC (+0.82%), Sarantis (+0.56%) and Eurobank (+0. 45%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was registered by the shares of Ethniki (-0.78%), PPA (-0.66%) and Jumbo (-0.61%).
47 stocks move up, 27 down and 16 remain stable.
The biggest increase was registered by the shares: Atticas Editions +9.39% and Attica Bank +6.77%, while the biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Akritas -7.25% and Unibios -2.10%.
European stock markets
European stocks were little changed at the start of trading today as investors focused on US employment data as well as political developments in France and South Korea.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.06%, after six straight days of gains. The index is heading for its best weekly performance in ten weeks.
Britain’s FTSE 100 was down 0.07% at 8,344, Germany’s DAX was down 0.11% at 20,336 and France’s CAC 40 was up 0.2%, hovering near a three-week high hit in the previous session , at 7,343 units.
