High profits recorded prices of shares In today’s (24.6.2025) meeting Athens Shipownerwith the market closing over 1,860 units, returning near its highs and over -performance over European markets.
The rise in stock prices was also accompanied by high turnover, while total market capitalization today increased by 2.7 billion euros. The General Index on the Athens Stock Exchange closed at 1,867.57 points, up 2.68%. Endocunena recorded a higher price at 1,868.96 (+2.76%).
Positive climate in international markets, which were not affected by information on a ceasefire breach between Israel and Iran. Yesterday’s developments with the announcement of the ceasefire influenced the investors positively, who ignored any tensions today.
The value of transactions on the Greek Stock Exchange amounted to EUR 333.77 million, of which EUR 75.88 million relate to packages, with 69,109,378 shares. The high capitalization index rose 2.80%, while the middle capitalization index rose 2.02%.
Of the high capitalization shares in the ATHEX, the shares of Cyprus (+5.33%), Aegean Airlines (+4.96%), Alpha Bank (+4.69%), Piraeus (+4.54%), Elvalhalcor (+4.26%) and Ethnicia (+4.20%) were recorded. On the contrary, the shares of EYDAP (-1.13%), AIA (-1.13%) and Coca Cola HBC (-0.09%) declined declined.
The largest volume of transactions were presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank with 31,465,877 and 14,024,833 shares, respectively. Eurobank scored the highest transaction value with € 90.67 million and Alpha Bank with € 41.58 million.
91 shares were up, 20 downstream and 10 remained stable. The shares rose the most: Doppler (+9.50%) and Frigoglass (+8.64%). The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: caressed (-7.58%) and Flexoprck (-6.14%).
