With significant profits closed the prices of shares In today’s (29.7.2025) meeting Stock market Athens, after two mild decline meetings, amid a positive climate in European markets.
At the heart of investment interest were the banking stocks, with investors drawing their attention to the announcements of the financial results of the first semester of banks, which will take place within the week. The General Index on the Greek Stock Exchange closed at 1,975.56 points, up 1.30%.
The value of the transactions amounted to € 168.49 million, with 29,304,503 shares. The high capitalization index rose 1.42%, while the mid -capitalization index rose 0.14%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Piraeus (+2.99%), Alpha Bank (+2.98%), OTE (+2.21%), Elvalhalcor (+2.00%), National (+1.61%) and EYDAP (+1.46%) were the highest. Shares of Sarantis (-0.45%) and AIA (-0.30%).
The largest volume of transactions were presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank with 8,000,499 and 4,620,231 shares, respectively. The highest value of transactions was recorded by National with EUR 29.71 million and Piraeus with EUR 26.78 million.
62 shares were on the rise, 41 declining and 25 remained stable. The shares rose the most: Evrofarma (+7.91%) and caressed (+7.86%). The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimala (-3.50%) and Vogiatzoglou Systems (-3.48%).
