Mild upward trends were had by transactions at today’s (12.12.2024) meeting Stock Exchange of Athens, with the market returning to an upward trajectory, after two days of corrective decline, exceeding the levels of 1,460 units.
Specifically, the General Index on the Greek stock market closed at 1,464.03 points, marking an increase of 0.44%. The value of transactions amounted to 137.97 million. euros, while 31,984,797 shares were traded. The large-cap index rose 0.51%, while the mid-cap index fell marginally to 0.05%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Mytileneos (+2.18%), PPA (+1.70%), Piraeus (+1.53%), ELPE (+1.14 %) and Aegean (+1.00%). On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (-1.38%), Autohellas (-1.17%) and EYDAP (-1.03%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading with 11,280,166 and 4,625,793 shares, respectively. The highest transaction value was recorded by Eurobank with 25.12 million. euros and the National with 18.91 million euro.
59 stocks moved up, 45 down and 16 remained stable. The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Chaidemenos +4.63% and Evrofarma +4.11%. The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Frigoglass -9.92% and Pairis -4.44%.
