Mild downward trends recorded prices of shares in the opening of today’s (18.8.2025) meeting of Athens Shipownerin the midst of mild downward moves and on European stock markets.
The market corrects after nine upward sessions during which the basic stock market index records a total of 8.48%. The Athens Stock Exchange’s General Price Index stands at 2,118.06 points, down 0.38%, while the value of the transactions is EUR 25.55 million.
The high capitalization index declines at 0.48%, while the middle capitalization index falls marginally at 0.08%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Cyprus (+0.79%), Lamda Development (+0.45%) and Coca Cola HBC (+0.36%) were recorded.
On the other hand, the shares of EYDAP (-2.04%), Titan (-2.02%), ELPE (-1.70%) and Alppha Bank (-1.37%) recorded the biggest decline.
41 shares move up, 45 declining and 15 remain constant. The shares were the largest rise: Haidmeni (+27.78%) and Attica Bank (+6.58%), while the shares (-6.17%) and Akritas (-4.04%) are the highest decline.
Euro recedes marginally 0.02%, to $ 1,1701
In the currency market, the euro against the dollar is down 0.02% and stands at $ 1,1701.
The euro is at 172,2520 yen, at 0.8633 with the pound and 0.9427 with the Swiss franc.
The dollar exchange rate is marginally reinforced by 0.03% against the YEN and stands at 147,2210 yen.
Sterling against the dollar is up 0.02% and stands at $ 1,3552.
