Marginally higher closed the Athens Stock Exchange In today’s (7.7.2025) meeting, at a new high 15 -year -old, though in most of the shares It moved gently with investors to liquidate part of their short earnings.
The Athens Stock Exchange completed five upward meetings during which the basic stock market index records a total of 2.74%. The high capitalization was overrun by the shares of Optima, Sarantis and PPC.
The General Price Index closed at 1,919.22 points, with a marginal rise of 0.06%. Intra-conference recorded lower price at 1,906.45 points (-0.60%) and higher at 1,922.93 points (+0.25%).
The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 150.62 million, with 28,516,537 shares. The high capitalization index increased by 0.07%, while the middle capitalization index was up 0.15%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Optima (+5.65%), Sarantis (+4.52%), PPC (+1.77%) and GEK TERNA (+1.39%) were the highest. On the other hand, the biggest decline was the shares of Jumbo (-2.17%), OTE (-1.26%), PPA (-1.24%) and AIA (-1.07%).
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 7,705,492 and 5,536,986 shares, respectively. Alpha Bank with € 24.09 million and Nationals with EUR 22.11 million was the highest value of transactions.
46 shares were up, 57 and 21 remained stable. The shares rose the highest: Three ‘Alpha (K) (+17.65%) and Xyletia (K) (+7.98%).
The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Prodea (-3.33%) and Nafpaktos spinning (-3.31%).
