Athens Medical Group: The new International Oncology Center was inaugurated in Thessaloniki


New era in Oncology marks the opening of the International Oncology Center which was inaugurated today by Athens Medical Group at Thessaloniki.

This is the largest Oncology Center of the private sector in Northern Greece, which will act as an accelerator of medical developments in our country and a point of reference for the whole of Europe and the Middle East.

The model International Oncology Center operates with standards comparable to the leading oncology centers worldwide, offering holistic care to each patient, from early diagnosis, personalized treatment and continuous monitoring, in state-of-the-art, specially designed, high security and aesthetic spaces.

The inauguration of the new International Oncology Center was performed by the Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis. The “present” at the ceremony, among others, was given by the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia and the new EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Deputy Ministers of Health, Mr. Dimitris Vartzopoulos and Marios Themistokleous, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Nikos Tagaras, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms. Elena Rapti, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Varnavas of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Timotheus of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon, ministers of Balkan countries, Mayors, medical staff of the Trans-Balkan Medical Center, as well as executives of the Athens Medical Group.

The Minister of Health was given a tour by the Vice President of the Athens Medical Group, Mr. Christos Apostolopoulos and the CEO Dr. Vasilis Apostolopoulosat the Oncology Center’s state-of-the-art facilities and was informed about its strategic planning and state-of-the-art technology.
