During the departure of the Panathinaikos team, Ergin Ataman spoke about the difficult game against Monaco and what his team should do in order to celebrate a third straight double at the home of the Monegasques.

On how he will approach the game against Monaco: “Monaco is a similar team to last year. They have about the same roster, with which they reached the Final Four in the EuroLeague. I also saw yesterday’s game against Olympiakos.
They had an outstanding game, especially Mike James and Alpha Diallo. So, it will be a tough game. There is a balance between our roster and theirs.
We have roughly the same strategy and patterns. We have to play smart without mistakes. Of course our defense will be important, because Monaco is a good attacking team”.
For what will be the key to victory: “The key will be the defense. We know that sometimes we play great in defense, but sometimes we have a lot of problems. We have to keep the balance in defense and also in attack to find the solutions.”
On whether Rogavopoulos is okay and whether he will compete: “Yes, I believe that Rogavopoulos will train today at the Monaco stadium and we will decide whether he will play or not.”
