At the Pentagon Kimberly Guilfoyle – Will meet with Dendia

Meeting with the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias the new US Ambassador to Greece is expected to be at the Pentagon today at 2:30 p.m., Kimberly Guilfoyle, in the context of the formal contacts she carries out upon assuming her new duties.

The lady Guilfoyle already mentioned, from her hearing at Senate Foreign Affairs Committee of the US in the further deepening of Greek-American defense cooperation. As she had emphasized, Athens is among the leading countries in defense spending within the Alliance, while she personally committed during her hearing in the Senate to accelerate the upgrading of the country’s defense equipment, with the assistance of the USA.

In this context, the lady Guilfoyle he then listed the important purchases of American defense equipment (F-35 fighters, Apache and Blackhawk helicopters), while underlining the importance of the joint plan to co-produce Constellation type frigates.

It should be noted that the new US Ambassador to Greece had communicated by text with Mr. Dendias shortly after the announcement of her new diplomatic role, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of National Defense to the US, in early 2025.
