On Thursday, the official inauguration of the Patras -Pyrgos Motorway will take place in the presence of the Prime Minister in the presence of the Prime Minister Kyriakou Mitsotakis and state representatives, local authorities and manufacturers. And from Friday, August 1, 2025 at 12:00, the Kaminia – Pyrgos of the new Patras – Pyrgos, 65km long, has been operational, according to an announcement by Olympia Odos.
As Olympia Odos officially informed yesterday, the event for the delivery of the 65 kilometers will take place at 19:00in a specially designed area at the Pyrgos junction, marking the launch of an important infrastructure project that is decisively upgrading the area’s transport and development potential. Mr Mitsotakis will be accompanied by the responsible Minister of Infrastructure Christos Dimas, who has “ran” in recent weeks to surrender the major part of the project.
The day will begin tomorrow afternoon on a journey along the new highway, starting with Kato Achaia and ending the Pyrgos. The trek will include stops in key points of the project, where technical characteristics and folds of construction will be presented.
It is recalled that the first 10 kilometers from Midilogli to Alissos, which is the most difficult part of the project as it is an improvement in the existing highway, are scheduled to be released on 30 November 2025.
