At 6 billion euros the ADMIE Development Program – aims to proceed with critical projects and interconnections

Increases the number of projects, but also the cost, in the new ten -year program of its growth ADMEwhich was consulted and concerns the period 2025-2034.

The Transport Network Administrator, ADMIE, has added new projects to this year’s program, mainly related to transport and substation lines as well as projects to install new equipment to existing substations and infrastructure.

These are specifically:

  • Replacement of existing submarine cables with new resistant equipment for the shielding of island loads, with a budget of € 16.6 million.
  • Enhancement of a 150 kV line between the Molasses in Laconia and the Peloponnese Peloponnese Terminal for congestion and greater stability in the South Peloponnese of EUR 6 million.
  • Enhance induction compensation with new and upgraded equipment of lever for voltage control and loss of loss of 27.6 million euros
  • Connecting the Mediterranean to the 150 KV electricity system to enhance East Attica’s energy security, with room for future extensions of EUR 35 million.
  • Zakynthos II substation, which will add reserve and capacity to the Ionian Sea, of € 7.2 million.

At the same time, they are gradually maturing the new domestic and international interconnections that were already launched, such as the 4th Phase with the Cyclades and the Dodecanese and the North Aegean. These are expensive investments, but they will have a financial benefit to the country and the consumer in the long run, as they will drastically reduce utilities, as the ADMIE administration has pointed out.

The total cost of the new program amounts to € 6 billion over a decade, of which $ 4.49 billion relate to the interval by 2028.

Indicatively, the 4th Phase of the Cyclades will be 164.5 million, the Dodecanese equivalent of 2,017 billion and the Northern Aegean to 924 million in a depth of three years.
