In critical condition, the two minors of 12 and 15 years are hospitalized in the Children’s ICU of Rio Hospital, after escaping from certain drowning in the Arachi.
Their condition remains critical, but they are given the best possible care and monitoring at the University Hospital.
The children were taken to Rio shortly after 6pm, having previously been taken to Arta Hospital.

Tears, the man who rescued the two children from the waters of Arachthos on Wednesday afternoon described in front of the cameras what happened. He explained that he was sitting in a nearby coffee when one of the children arrived there asking for help. Immediately he rushed to the spot and pulled the children out of the water, without their senses.
“They came and asked for help. I took off my clothes and dived. I took out one and then went to find the other. I dived, but I couldn’t find it. Then I jumped off the boat, it was very deep, 5-6 meters. I saw the kid lying, I grabbed it, forced it out … to take a breath. “

The timing of the event in Arachthos
It all started early Wednesday afternoon, when four minors went to the Arachthos River to swim. The 14 -year -old, who did not know well swimming, was removed from the shore and dragged from the waters. His 15 -year -old friend rushed to help him, so he himself was seduced.
The other two friends immediately called for help. Citizens nearby were mobilized and, using a boat, managed to retrieve the two children from the water.
A few minutes later, EKAB ambulances arrived. Rescuers found that the children had no senses and started the CARP immediately. At Arta Hospital, there was a coordinated attempt to recover from the doctors, resulting in minors temporarily recovering their senses before they were intubated.

They were then taken to the hospital, where the doctors’ rejuvenation process continued, and after a while came the positive result: the children regained their senses.
