The new program “Extraversion of Small and Medium Enterprises” will have a total budget of 200 million euros, while the platform for applications is expected to remain open for two months.
Beneficiaries are defined by existing SMEs active in the production or marketing of products and seek to enhance their export activity, while the following costs are considered as eligible:
- Participation in international trade fairs.
- Certification of products and services in accordance with international standards.
- Promotion and marketing costs in foreign markets.
- Counseling Services for Developing Export Strategies
The reinforcement rates, according to the pre -publication of the action, are expected to cover up to 50% of the eligible budget for general cases and up to 60% for businesses that meet special criteria, such as activity in remote or island areas.
Applications will be submitted electronically through the Integrated State Aid Management Information System (OPEC), while applications will be evaluated by a comparative procedure, with a minimum required score of 65%.
The Financial Staff and the Hellenic Development Bank aspire this program to be an important opportunity for Greek SMEs in order to boost their presence in international markets, improving their competitiveness and contributing to the increase in exports of the country, which remains a new model.
It is recalled that the program was carried out in January, with a starting horizon in April until the end of June, however there were delays and so the applications “open” in the coming days.
