Apple’s Siri is coming to cars!

It’s official: the amazing Siri app we know from the iPhone will be available in cars from several companies. In the latest presentation of new products and services, Apple’s vice president of iOS software, Scott Forstall, announced a new service called Eyes Free.
What exactly is this service? Some cars will get a new button on their steering wheel (photo). By pressing it, the car’s software will connect wirelessly to the user’s iPhone or iPad, and the driver will be able to ask Siri a question. The answer will come from their car speakers, without distracting the driver!
According to Apple, nine companies have already agreed to bring Eyes Free technology to their cars within the next 12 months. These are BMW, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota, Chrysler and Honda.
The artificial intelligence application Siri answers voice questions about any topic and allows, among other things, to send emails, create a new appointment in the calendar, enter an address in the navigation system (a new function that will be added to the iOS 6 version in July) and much more . All with voice commands of the user!
Write us your comments. Do you think cars will become “smarter” with the help of Siri?
