Apple: Teleworking in 2022 – Instruction for employees to be vaccinated


THE Apple “Votes” telework. The American high-tech giant is delaying the return of its employees to its offices until at least January 2022.

According to Bloomberg News, Apple Inc. is aiming to extend telework for another three months, from October previously scheduled. The reason is the increase in cases of the new coronavirus and its new variants, Bloomberg News reported, citing a memo, on Friday (20.08.2021).

The manufacturer of the iPhone informed the staff that it will confirm the schedule for its reopening one month before the request of its employees to return to the offices.

Apple: Call for vaccinations

Apple did not respond to a request for comment from Reuters outside of business hours to comment on the news.

Some companies in the US have changed their plans for vaccinations, mask use and return to the office due to the increase in new coronavirus cases and the announcement of new guidelines by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The memo, which was sent to Apple staff yesterday, Thursday (19.08.2021), also states that for the time being the company is not going to close its offices or retail stores, but calls on its employees to be vaccinated against coronavirus, according to with the post.

The company is also stepping up its diagnostic program to three tests a week at home, Bloomberg News reported.
