Antonis Samaras: It is the first time in the history of ND that a former prime minister was deleted

He talks about the transformation of the ND into a “Semitic PASOK in blue”

“Points” to the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leaves in the interview granted by Antonis Samaras on the ANT1 television station and will be broadcast today (15:00), complaining, among other things, that he was deleted “aron – aron” from the New Republic.

In the interview given by the former prime minister on October 31, an excerpt of which was published on Saturday (8/11), he talks about the transformation of the ND into a “Semitic PASOK in blue”.

Antonis Samaras spoke about Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his removal from the ND, citing characteristics:

“I saw the Prime Minister himself recently leaving the House in a leaders’ debate, saying he didn’t have time to listen to everyone and answer them. In another debate, addressing a party chairman, he said: “Stop whining.” He often speaks of “lentil and sofa patriots”. These are all examples of arrogance and institutional indecency.

[…] What advantage does Samaras have against Kyriakos Mitsotakis? Who made him Minister? Samaras. Who made him a parliamentary representative in the Tsipras-Varoufakis semester? Samaras. Who firmly supported him for President of the New Democracy? Samaras. Who was running across the country, as you rightly said, all this time? Samaras. Not for him, for the faction. Are you saying that maybe I have some guilt because he did not propose me for President of the Republic?

[…] So the problem, make no mistake, is not that Samaras does not digest one or the other or Mitsotakis. The problem is that Mitsotakis does not understand the right, the center-right, nor the history nor the base of New Democracy. That is why he has turned it into a hybrid of the Semitic PASOK in blue. The difference between Samaras and Mitsotakis is therefore not personal. It is political and valuable. Samaras, with two words, has no ginati. Others appear to be suffering from nightmares.

[…] I didn’t leave to come back. I was deleted by Mr. Mitsotakis. Mind you, he deleted a Prime Minister one by one before the newspaper I had given this interview to was even published. He was in a hurry. But for Ms. Ferrari, Mr. Frappe, Mr. Hasapi, there it took them weeks to decide on their own deletion. It is the first time in the history of the faction that a former Prime Minister and President of the party has been deleted. And he took this decision supposedly because he was offended because of Gerapetritis. Actually, as I told you, he found an excuse to turn New Democracy into his own party.
Which bridges are you talking about? I saw no honest admission of error anywhere. In nothing. Mr. Mitsotakis is always right. And all of us others are always wrong.”
