The announcement of PAE AEK
The AEK family bids farewell to one of the people who left their imprint in the history of our team. Andreas Zafeiropoulos, a major shareholder of PAE AEK from 1981 to 1992, passed away today at the age of 92.
The deceased was an industrialist of sportswear and had been involved in the AEK administrators since the 1970s under Lucas Barlou. He was even general leader in the 1978 double. Three years later he became the majority package of shares, which he maintained for many years, although he occasionally assigned the presidency to other persons, such as Michalis Arkadis (1982-83), Teris Panagidis (1983) (1991-92).
In the summer of 1988, Andreas Zafeiropoulos permanently retired from the administrative spot, but remained a major shareholder. During his days as the owner of PAE AEK, the team won the 1982-83 season, the 1988-89 and 1991-92 leagues and the 1989-90 League Cup.
PAEK AEK is on the side of his whole family. Courage to all his friends and loved ones and remember the beautiful moments he spent with him.
