For its payment date allowance of 250 euros to low pensionersthe return of rent and traffic taxes, spoke to MEGA today (30.10.2025) the press representative of the Ministry of Finance, Omiros Tsapalos.
At the end of November, EFKA estimates that the 250 euro allowance will be paid to thousands of low-income pensioners. The amount of the allowance varies according to the family status of the beneficiaries. Specifically, individual pensioners receive 250 euros, while couples are entitled to 500 euros.
The process will be carried out automatically, without the need for any action from the interested parties. So in November, in addition to the payment of the December pensions, the accounts will also be credited with the new annual financial aid of 250 euros.
“Both the 250 euro allowance and the rent refund will be made on November 30, but since it falls on a Sunday, November 28 will be a Friday. Regarding the rent we have done clearances, and the vast majority are fine. There are no problems with payment. There is also no application for the rent, nor for the 250 euros. the intersections have not been completed for this reason and we have not proceeded with payments”, underlined Mr. Tsapalos.
One rent return to tenants every November
- Main residence: up to €800 (+€50 per dependent child)
- Student housing: up to €800
Annual income:
- Up to €20,000 for singles
- Up to €28,000 for married couples or partners (+ €4,000/ child)
- Up to €31,000 for single-parent families (+ €5,000/child, beyond the first)
Estate:
- Up to €120,000 (+ €20,000 for each child)
- The student residence has no asset limit
- Payment to bank account: every November
- Payment automatically (WITHOUT REQUEST)

“From November 15 and gradually farmers will see payments, everything is in agreement with Europe. For some we are in contact, for others approval from Europe is not needed, eg excise duty refund and ELGA payments. For OPEKEPE we are in consultation with Europe. That’s quite a bit of money.
