For the first time in their careers, Polish Slipper and American Amanda Anisimova will be faced with a final Wimbledonclaiming the coveted trophy at the All England Club.
The 24 -year -old Sfionk (No. 4 in the world) and the 23 -year -old Anisimova (No. 12) will seek to conquer Wimbledon, in a final that is expected to be of great interest.
For Sfionek, holding five Grand Slam titles (four of which at Roland Garros), this is her maiden appearance in a Wimbledon final. Despite her successful career in the soil, Polish has not yet won a title in the grass, a surface that has made her difficult in the past. Indeed, after the conquest of Roland Garros in June 2024, Sfionk has not added another title to her assets.
On the other hand, Anisimova lives her own dream path. After a great appearance in the semifinals, where she excluded the No. 1 world, Arina Sampalenka, the young American arrives for the first time in a final Grand Slam. She has already secured her entry into the Top 10 of the world rankings for the first time in her career, but the Sunday final is the highlight of her time so far.
It is noteworthy that the two players have never confronted a professional level. Their only meeting is recorded in 2016 at Juniors level, which makes tomorrow’s clash even more open and unpredictable.
Whatever happens, the Wimbledon 2025 will write a story with a new winner added to the list. The only sure thing is that this year’s final promises a high level of spectacle, emotions and a new queen in the London grass.
