Greece’s leadership in regional energy projects, as well as the forthcoming US-Greece strategic dialogue to be held in Athens, were at the center of the US Deputy Foreign Minister of the United States. Christopher Landauwith the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou.
According to the State Department’s announcement, Christopher Landau confirmed the importance of Greek -American relations and Greece’s valuable role in promoting regional stability.
It is noted that “the Deputy Minister praised Greece’s strong defense spending as a model for other European partners. The two Deputy Foreign Ministers also discussed joint priorities to end illegal immigration, Greece’s leadership in regional energy projects, and the forthcoming US-Greece strategic dialogue in Athens. “
Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister Tasos Hatzivasiliou with members of the US Congress
A delegation from the US Congress was met today by Deputy Foreign Minister, Tasos Hatzivasiliou, responsible for financial diplomacy and extroversion.
The meeting reaffirmed the historically excellent relations between Greece and the US and discussed the bilateral cooperation and challenges facing the international community. At the same time, the two sides discussed our country’s strategy in extroversion and attracting investment.
Mr Hadjivasiliou stressed that Greece is a responsible force of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and a credible partner for the future of economic cooperation and geopolitical stability.
