Alperien Sangun is Turkey’s “star” at Eurobasket 2025 and wrote a story in the event, with the triple-double he succeeded in the quarter-finals against Poland.
Sengun in the first part of the quarter -finals with Poland reached a total of 70 rebounds and 46 assists in this year’s event. So he became the first player in the last 30 years with 70+ rebounds and 40+ assists in a tournament.
Alperien Sangun scored 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in 25 minutes, with 3 steals together and became the only sixth player in the history of Eurobaskets who score a triple-double!
Youngest to do it in EuroBasket history.

Indeed, earlier at this year’s European Championship, Luca Doncic had also recorded a triple-double in Slovenia’s victory against Belgium for the group stage.
Doncic, Ponitka, Mandak and Kukoc and Vankovic are the previous triple-double players in Eurobasket history.
