His third term as prime minister Of Albania won today the Eddie Rama. This is an unprecedented event for the political situation of the country in the thirty years of change of government.
After a 20-hour marathon session, Eddie Rama secured a vote of confidence in the Albanian Parliament. In particular, 77 deputies voted in favor of the leader of the Socialist Party, 53 against, while there was one MP who abstained.
It is also worth noting that unprecedented for the Albanian data is the fact that for the first time in the government the majority are women, who with 15 ministries cover two thirds of the government. In this context, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, Health, Finance, Energy and Infrastructure, Culture, Tourism, Agriculture and others are led by women. These are the ministries that are the main pillars of the government work of the Socialist government, which were announced by Prime Minister Eddy Rama in his program statements.
Today, the new government is expected to be sworn in before the President of the Republic, who had previously requested information from the competent prosecutors of the country on whether the criminal record of each of the ministers of the new government is clean.
