One of the largest road works in Romania is delivered next time by ACTOR Romania, with the completion of the third section (Lot 3) of the Southern Regional Motorway of Bucharest (A0). While the Romanian construction is up to € 900 million.
The project delivered by Aktor Romania concerns 18 kilometers of a new motorway and is accompanied by complex technical features, such as four large bridges, six upper crossings and 46 additional technical projects. The final budget of the project amounts to EUR 305 million.
The highway is designed for speeds of up to 140 km/h, including the placement of 260,000 tonnes of asphalt, 620 LED lighting poles and integrated “smart” transport systems (ITS). Lot 3 is the largest part of the southern ring and is expected to improve the interconnection of the Romanian capital, reducing existing traffic loading and reducing pollution in the urban fabric.
In addition to road construction, the company has an active participation in a series of railways, most notably the APATA – Cata (Lot 2) contractor, implemented as part of the upgrade of the Brașov – Simeria line, part of the Rhine – Danube Transport Transport Line. The project, with a budget of EUR 507 million, includes two twin tunnels 6.9 and 5.1 km.
Aktor’s participation in sections 1-3 of the Brașov-Sighișoara line, 84 km long, is also underway. At the same time, work is being carried out in the Ilteu – Gurarasada department of the Curtici – Simeria line, budget of € 159 million, which includes a number of highly difficult technical projects.
In addition, the company has signed two framework agreements with the Romanian authorities for the maintenance of the Bucharest-Constanta railway line, totaling € 186 million.
At the same time, Aktor Romania is preparing for new tenders of a total estimated € 3.7 billion. The design is reportedly included in two railways of 1.8 and 1 billion euros respectively, as well as one road construction contractor of € 900 million. These projects are expected to be announced next time.
