Authorities went handcuffed to five people on Friday 26.09.2025 on Agistri, as they threw rubble and waste ending at sea.
According to ELAS, two of the detainees were found to empty wet waste trucks on a forest area, while another was caught throwing rubbish from excavations and demolitions on a steep slope.
The Ministry of Environment and Energy for autopsy and environmental control was also called to the spot. Checks have revealed serious violations, with the result that, in addition to the arrests of drivers and two cooperating contractor employees, 15 fines were confirmed.
At the same time, authorities have seized: three vehicles, equal signs and traffic licenses as well as a leaf of tachograph. The defendants were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
