“Lucky” over her misfortune stood a woman from him Agios Stefanoswhich was attacked by a savage pit bullwhile walking her dog and was saved by a passing car.
The woman, speaking to the Mega camera, explained the nightmarish moment when the pit bull pounced on her to injure her small dog, while they were walking in the area of Agios Stefanos. The 58-year-old was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
“He threw me down left, I hit my leg, pelvis, arm and head. It was hacking into my mouth here on the gum line. Good thing I was wearing a thick jacket or it would have eaten us both,” said the victim of the attack.
And he added: “A dog appears, gray in color and running towards me, a pit bull very fierce and running towards me. He attacks and grabs my little dog and I went and got hold of the bars of a door that was at that point and started screaming help, dog is eating me, dog is eating me.”
A driver who was passing by at the time of the attack honked her horn, scaring the pit bull and saving the 58-year-old’s life: “Some lady appeared, honking her car and chased the dog away. An ambulance came, I went to the hospital, where the doctors were there, they did examinations with a CT scan of my head, X-rays”, added the woman.
The same pit bull also rushed at a neighbor of the 58-year-old woman: “Before he bit the woman, he attacked me but I was holding on to wood and he ran away and when I came here to throw away the garbage I saw a girl who was chasing it with the car and was whistling and I said why are you whistling and he says he bit a woman,” said the neighbor.
The owner of the dog is said to be an 18-year-old man, who was arrested for causing bodily harm and violating the pet law.
