Temporary prisoners were judged after a marathon procedure that lasted almost 12 hours, and the five defendants for the assassination of 43 -year -old Polish professor of Berkeley in Greecewith his ex -wife also led to prison.
Confessed again by the 35 -year -old offender
The first defendant, the 35 -year -old partner of the former wife of the victim, first apologized, who reiterated his confession and fully assumed responsibility for the cold -blooded murder. He claimed that he acted on his own and attempted to relieve his partner of any involvement.
Denials and arguments
The other three defendants for synergy, including a minor, said ignorant of the 35 -year -old’s intention to kill the teacher. They allegedly claimed that they thought he would simply be “offset”, while the minor allegedly argued that he was “out of curiosity” because of the jeep brand.
In prison and the 43 -year -old ex -wife of the victim
The former spouse of the professor, who is accused of morals, recently apologized. She denies any involvement, stressing that she had no motivation, as the victim was financially careful about both herself and their children. However, the authorities appear to have evidence and testimonies that support its active role in planning crime.
The tragic case has caused strong emotion, both because of the victim’s position in the academia and the particularly harsh conditions of crime. Investigations are continuing with the aim of fully clarifying the incentives and conditions of cold execution.
