A thousandth turbo engine is coming for Hyundai

The Hyundai-Kia Group has announced the strategy it will follow in the areas of engines and gearboxes in the coming years.
The announcements were made during the annual conference of the Korean group, in the presence of engineers from many companies in the wider space.

The goal of the Koreans is to expand the range of turbocharged T-GDI gasoline engines with new members, but also to develop new transmission systems for luxury models. Following the downsizing trend, Hyundai will build small turbocharged direct injection petrol engines, smaller than the 1.6 and 2.0 T-GDIs it already has. The smallest turbo engine will be the Kappa 1.0 TCI, with a power of 106 PS and 14 kgm of torque.
