Specifically US President Donald Trump’s latest order increases duties to China to 125% from 84%. As a White House official explained, The 125% duty imposition on Chinese products is added to the duty 20% that the US had imposed on China on Fentanyl trade.
According to the relevant Presidential Decree, which also confirms the suspension of duties in other countries, the 125% duties announced by Donald Trump at the expense of China are added to the 20% duties already imposed by the beginning of March, in the context of the battle against the illegal trafficking of a strong trafficking.
They are also added to the duties already in place before Trump’s return to the White House. Therefore, the total duties on Chinese products rise to 145%.
It is recalled that the duties still in force are as follows:
–145% duties on all goods from China
–25% duties aimed at aluminum, cars, goods from Canada and Mexico not subject to the US -Mexico – Canada Agreement
-10% duties in all other imports
On the other hand, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said that if the US side insists on duty war or trade war, China will fight to the end.
