His statements Kyriakou Mitsotakis at Breitbart, where the prime minister talked about a ‘Win-win’ trade agreement between Europe and USA, after their Trump dutiesthe US president commented.
Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump stressed, following a question about the statements of the Greek Prime Minister. “I know him, he’s a good man, I appreciate his comments,” he said initially.
And he continued: “Yes, an agreement can be made with each of them (with each country), there will be fair agreements with everyone.”
Subsequently, the US president mainly referred to China, showing mainly where the tariffs are targeted, and said that the American allies were not doing well in his country in the past. He even estimated that there may be an agreement with China.
There will be fair agreements with everyone, he stressed, but stressed that the agreements were “not fair to the US”. We have 36 trillion. Debt for some reason, we do not have it for fun, he then said characteristically, talking about the amount of US national debt, and rejected responsibility for his predecessor, Joe Biden, about the trade agreements entered into the Democratic government.

Mitsotakis in Breitbart: Europe may end up in “win-win” agreement with US
Earlier today, the prime minister Kyriakos MitsotakisSpeaking to Breitbart News, he said he believes that Europe can end up in a “win-win” trade agreement with the US president Donald Trumpwhich will be “mutually beneficial” to the United States and the European Union.
Mitsotaki statements come as a moment when The EU has just launched new commercial movements against the US. These movements, focusing on steel and aluminum, were mainly designed before the announcement of the World duty by Trump last week.
“There is a European message and there is a Greek message,” Mr Mitsotakis told Breitbart News, when asked what his message to Trump was in, in an interview with Maximus Mansion to journalist Matt Boyle, who is in our country for the Financial Forum.
“At European level, there is the possibility of finding a win-win solution to trade, a solution that will be mutually beneficial. This was my steady belief from the beginning, before the duties were announced. There is still room for negotiations before considering any major reciprocal response beyond what was announced today, which was anyway the expected EU reaction. I believe that, in the end, Europe and the European market are very important to the US and the US is important to Europe, and we must find a solution.
Mitsotakis’ interview with Breitbart News sends a message from Europe that European leaders want to work with Trump, while it seems that the consciousness is maturing in Epirus that the real goal of the US president’s actions is China.
Concerning Greece’s special message, Mr Mitsotakis told Breitbart News that he considers the United States a strategic partner in Greece and specifically referred to the IMEEC corridor -a commercial corridor agreement signed by Trump with countries such as India, Middle Eastern states and European states. IMEEC (India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor) is regarded by many in the West as the US response to the Chinese Silk Road initiative.
Mr Mitsotakis described IMEEC as a corridor that unites the world’s largest democracy, India, with the strongest democracy, the US, with the bridge between them being Greece, the birthplace of democracy.
“As far as Greece is concerned, we have a strategic cooperation with the US,” he said. “And when I look at IMEEC, Greece, the birthplace of democracy, can be the bridge between the biggest and the strongest democracy. For geopolitical and economic reasons, Greece is an important US ally. I have worked with President Trump in the past and I can work with him again to address regional challenges. “
Trump, Breitbart notes, has spoken in warm words about IMEEC and recently said the deal represents a “group of wonderful nations” that join forces to “resist countries that seek to harm us in trade”. Although he did not explicitly mention China, the … implied was clear. Trump also pointed out that the US can achieve great things at a geopolitical level through such partnerships, but also that US partners, such as the EU and India, must be fairer to Washington.
“We have a strong team of commercial partners,” Trump told Breitbart News in mid -March. “But we cannot allow these partners to treat us badly. In many cases we do better with our enemies than with our friends. Some who are not as friendly treat us better than those who are supposed to be our friends, such as the European Union, who treats us horribly in commerce. The same is true for India. But this group of nations is united against countries trying to harm us commercially. “
Mitsotakis Policy in Migration and Economic Recovery
Referring to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Breitbart notes that, after its first election victory, in 2019, it adopted strict border controls and immigration, a policy that contradicts the dominant trends in the rest of Europe, but was drawn to the vision of Trump for restriction.
“Greece is at the forefront of immigration,” the prime minister said, and continued: “We followed a rigorous but fair immigration policy and I was the first to insist on protecting the border. When we started this policy in 2020 we were the exception to the EU. Now everyone understands the importance of border protection. It is not the job of the traffickers to decide who is coming into Greece. I am incomprehensible strict on the issue of border protection and open to legal immigration. “
Greece has also been financially recovered from the crisis that preceded Mitsotakis, largely thanks to its conservative economic policies. As he told Breitbart News, these policies are in alignment with Trump’s economic vision, which includes a reduction in taxes and regulations to boost growth.
“We have achieved a striking return after the financial crisis, implementing a tax cut and bureaucracy strategy, a pro -investment and liberal policy that supports job creation,” concluded Mr Mitsotakis.
