We are friends, neighbors and believe in the future of Lebanese, National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said after a meeting Tuesday in Beirut with Lebanese counterpart, Michel Menassah.
In his statement, Mr. Dendias pointed out that with his counterpart from Lebanon “we have agreed to continue our particularly close relationships, as well as to try, as Greece, to do everything we can in the direction of the well -being and security of Lebanon and the whole region.”

I would like to reiterate that we are welcoming the composition of the new government and remind you that Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis was the first foreign leader to visit Lebanon after a ceasefire agreement.
