The lawyers of the prisoner of former Mayor of Constantinople, Ekrem Imamoglou, appealed against his detention, as media today (07.04.2025) reported in Turkey.
Ekrem Imamoglu was arrested and dismissed by his post on March 19, on charges of corruption and terrorism, and on March 23, it was decided to delay, causing a storm of reactions, huge protests and rallies throughout Turkey.
According to a statement published in Turkish media and signed by Ekrem Imamoglu’s lawyers, it is emphasized that an appeal was filed, which had been announced and in which they demand that the detention of the Mayor of Constantinople be lifted.
