On Wednesday (2.4.2025) the inauguration of the renovated “Eleni” wing of the Second Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Aretaios Hospital. The renovation took place on the initiative of the Friends Association of Friends of the Clinic “Next to Woman”, in the framework of its Corporate Responsibility Program “Responsibility Structures” PRODEA Investments.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Health, representatives of the academic and medical world. Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, in his opening greeting, pointed out that private sponsorships in the public health system are a sign of the power of our society, and even the richest health systems internationally accept the support of the private sector. She thanked Prodea for her offer, as well as the club and President of Mr. Kalaitzis for the renovation of the “Eleni” wing. He pointed out that supporting university hospitals is a real investment in the future.
The event was also honored with their presence and speeches by the Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Gerasimos Siasos, the Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Professor Pagona Lagou Gynecology Clinic, Professor Nikolaos Vlachos, who thanked Prodea Investments for sponsoring renovation and the Friends Association for the Initiative, which highlights the importance of cooperation between public and private sector and citizens’ society for the upgrading of public health, Aretaiou University Hospital.
The president of the Friends Association of the University Hospital of the University Hospital “Next to the Woman”, Doctor Popi Kalaitzis He thanked Prodea Investments for the immediate and generous support in the club’s request and said: “We are very happy that today, women hospitalized in the gynecological clinic enjoy renovated hospitality sites, which in combination with the top doctors and nurses. Next up we will even complement our intervention with an innovative patient support program using VR technology. Our goal is to attract private support to the public health system, as we know the challenges it faces and its potential. We will continue to be next to every woman in need, with actions and information programs, awareness and empowerment, with the aim of constantly expanding our interventions. “

Mr. Karytinos thanked Mrs Kalaitzis, the volunteers of the club and the hospital services for the effective cooperation of the public. After the speeches, a guided tour of the renovated “Eleni” wing, where attendees had the opportunity to see the upgraded facilities closely.
