Bad weather in Macedonia: stopping traffic in Irish crossings and provincial roads due to heavy rain

Vehicle traffic was interrupted in Irish crossings and provincial roads in central Macedoniadue to intense rain or accumulation of water or overflow of streams.

Specifically, traffic was interrupted in Irish crossings between Veria – Lazochori and Makrochori – Tagarochori, in Imathia, according to the Central Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia for the impact of heavy rain on the area.

Authorities also closed the provincial roads of Lipydriou – Fanariou and Kilkis – Karteron, in Kilkis, on the 12th kilometer of Fotinon – Fteris District Road and at an Irish crossing at the Ziliana stream on the Provincial Road Leptokarya – Skotina, Skotina, Pieria Sithonia and at an Irish crossing at Olympiad, Halkidiki.
