His Draft Law was put up for public consultation today Ministry of National Defense under the title: “Transition Map of Armed Forces in the New Era (career and development of officers, permanent non-commissioned officers and professional soldiers of the Armed Forces, salary arrangements for the military personnel of the Armed Forces, reorganization of academic education of the Armed Forces, conscription of Greeks, voluntary conscription of women and other provisions)”.
The consultation will end on Friday 5 December 2025 at 09:00.

The Draft Law, which complements the set of policies being implemented in the framework of the “2030 Agenda” and related to the officers of the Armed Forces, had been presented by the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias and had been approved by the Council of Ministers, which met under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on September 30, 2025.
It should be noted that this is a large set of changes aimed at the new era in the Armed Forces, as it captures the entire road map of the transition to the New Structure.
- Specifically, the provisions of the Draft Law include:

- -New payroll
- -New career system
- – New academic framework for military studies
- – New term
- -New reserve
- -Voluntary conscription of women with 12-month service for women aged 20-26.
Among the proposed provisions is a new special salary list for the officers of the Armed Forces, as well as the process of streamlining crises, with the aim of strengthening the fighting force.
