THE King Charles expressed his sincere condolences to her people Myanmarafter the powerful earthquake that claimed the life of at least 1,600 people.
Addressing the “people of Myanmar” of the former British colony, the 76 -year -old monarch said that he and Queen Camilla were “shocked and sad” by the tragedy caused by the earthquake.
“These difficult, agonizing moments, my wife and I are addressing our sincere condolences to those who have experienced the tragedy of losing their own people, their homes and their precious means of survival,” he continued, stressing that “they were always admired.”
Charles, who suffers from cancer, was forced to cancel a series of obligations on Friday, and Buckingham’s palace announced that he was facing “side effects” from the treatment he is undergoing.
