The final began with several upheavals in the first seven points, with Olympiacos gaining two points for the first time, making it 9-6 with Perin’s ace. The “reds” played aggressively, with Perin breaking the Pipe block, giving his team a steady lead. The two -point lead was maintained and increased to three points for a long time. At 18-14, Olympiacos raised the difference to +4 with his second ace and continued to control the game. Despite PAOK’s reaction to 22-20, Olympiacos finally got the first set with 25-21.
In the second set, Olympiacos and PAOK exchanged points, with Perin and Liaftov leading the attack. Olympiacos took a lead with two points and then with three, while PAOK opposed a 3-0 lead to 13-12. However, Olympiacos found his pace with Perin and Atanasievic and the second set ended with 25-17 in favor of Olympiacos.
PAOK entered the third set dynamically, increasing the difference to +6 (11-5) and maintaining control of the game until 18-10. Olympiacos tried to overthrow the situation by approaching 24-20, but PAOK won the set 25-20 and reduced to 2-1.
In the fourth set, Olympiacos raised his performance and took a 6-3 lead. PAOK reduced to three (19-16), but the “reds” made the final surpassing with Perin and Atanasievic being decisive, while Papagelopoulos’s block kept the difference. Olympiacos won the set with 25-21 and the 18th Cup of his story, dominating 3-1.
