The announcement of PAE Kifisia
“PAE Kifisia announces the start of cooperation with Angelos Charisteas, who assumes the position of Technical Director.
Recommendations for Angelos Charisteas are unnecessary, given that he is one of the most recognizable football figures in the country, with a long and rich career on the pitches. Of course, the crown of his achievements was winning Euro 2004 with the Greek National Team, scoring the most historic Greek goal.
Angelos Charisteas was born on February 9, 1980 in Serres, where he started his football career. He then wore the jersey of Aris and Athenaikos, before embarking on an absolutely successful career abroad. He successively played for Werder Bremen, Ajax, Feyenoord, Nuremberg, Bayer Leverkusen, Arles-Avignon and Schalke, before returning to Greece in 2011 for Panaitolikos. The last stop of his career was Al Nasr.
With the jersey of the Greek National Team, he has scored 25 goals in 88 appearances.
The addition of Angelos Charisteas to the organizational chart of PAE Kifissia and especially to the key position of Technical Director comes as a continuation of a series of moves on the part of the Association, which aspires to record even greater successes in the future.
The President of PAE Kifissia, Mr. Christos Pritsas, said: “It is a great pleasure and honor to start working with Angelos Charisteas, a man who has contributed a lot to Greek football. His profile and character are completely consistent with Kifisia and the way everyone in the club sees football. Angelos is a man with a great appetite for work, methodical and willing to support the plan that exists in the Kifisia, with the goal of achieving even more together in the future. We welcome him to our family and wish him every success.”
