World Cup qualifiers: England and France qualified for the 2026 World Cup, Albania in the play-offs

OR France qualified for his finals World Cup with a 4-0 win against Ukraine with goals from Mbappe (2), Oliseh and Ekitike. In the 4th group, Iceland defeated Azerbaijan with a goal by Ingason and climbed to the 2nd place of the group.

England followed France’s lead and qualified for the 2025 World Cup finals after a 2-0 win over Serbia eliminated the Serbs for good. Albania advanced to the play-offs after a 1-0 win at home to Andorra.

Portugal were beaten by Ireland with Cristiano Ronaldo sent off and taunting the fans as he left. This result extended the qualification of Portugal who are first in the group with 10 points to 8 of the second placed Hungary who beat Armenia.

Norway got a huge win that essentially gave them the World Cup win 4-1 against Estonia. Italy beat Moldova 2-0 and barring a shocking upset will be 2nd in the group.
