With the signing of the 1st amendment of the Joint Ministerial Decision regarding the Program Announcement “I’m saving up 2025″, the Ministry of Environment and Energy is getting closer to accelerating it energy upgrade of the houses.
The new decision regarding the “Save 2025” program enables the implementation of more energy upgrading interventions, extending the benefit to even more households. It also updates the list of required supporting documents, moves the Electronic Building Identity (EID) submission process within 30 days after the submission of the application and extends the implementation schedule until May 31, 2026.
To date, approximately 55,000 applications have been submitted, while the initial results will concern more than 40,000 beneficiaries, confirming the strong demand for energy saving actions.
In order to meet the high demand, the Ministry proceeded to substantially increase the Program’s budget from 434,000,000 million euros to 924,269,064 million euros.
“Save 2025” is a key tool of the country’s energy policy, which promotes the efficient use of energy, reduces the energy footprint of homes and strengthens energy security and social cohesion, contributing decisively to the achievement of national goals for sustainable development and climate balance.
The Program is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, with funding from the European Union – NextGeneration EU.
