Members of the royal family, as well as well-known figures in British public life, are expected to attend. Last year, the couple, the Prince and Princess of Wales, brought along their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This year’s event will also include a moving tribute to the Duchess of Kent, who passed away in September aged 92.
The celebration established after the pandemic
The Princess of Wales established ‘Together at Christmas’ in 2021, with the support of the Royal Foundation, as a tribute to those who have shown solidarity and self-sacrifice during the coronavirus pandemic. Since then, the event has grown into an annual celebration of giving and unity in UK communities.
This year, the princess wanted to thank those who act with love and sensitivity around them, contributing to a more connected society. Recently, in a personal text, she referred to the “epidemic of disconnection” caused by technology and emphasized that “true connection requires presence.”
