THE Nikos Moraitis returns with a sharp intervention regarding the conflict that has broken out between the publishing house of Alexis Tsipras’s book and Documento, speaking of a “second political assassination” of the former prime minister. The well-known lyricist, commenting on the lawsuit filed by the publishing house Gutenberg for the publication of excerpts from the book “Ithaca”, points his arrows against the young – as he characterizes them – “assassins” of Alexis Tsipras, commenting that “the janissaries are always more passionate and bloodthirsty”.
In his post, he states that the “anti-Tsipras front” is constantly looking for new targets to attack the former prime minister, while noting that, although he no longer speaks to Tsipras or supports him politically “in white”, he cannot help but stand against what he considers injustice. He even emphasizes that the “second political assassination” against the man who “brought the country out of bankruptcy” has already begun.
However, he does not fail to recall his own recent criticism of Alexis Tsipras, when he presented his new collaborators at the Institute that bears his name. Then the Moraitis had talked about “fillet scientists with little hope of a coup”, calling on Tsipras not to bring back persons who – as he wrote – “the world disgusts”.
Nikos Moraitis’ post in detail:
The new political assassination of Alexis Tsipras is here, before his book was even released. THEhis old killers are not convincing because they were caught chewing government money. So the “anti-Tsipras” front found new ones. Janissaries are always more passionate and bloodthirsty. Personally, I neither talk to him, nor will I vote for him “blank”. But my nature always leads me to the one who is wronged. As I found myself in front of him when I considered that he himself had wronged. But at this moment, the second political assassination of the prime minister who brought the country out of bankruptcy, has just begun.

Against Gutenberg – Documento
At the same time, the publishing house Gutenberg is taking legal action against Documento, accusing the newspaper of publishing excerpts of the book “Ithaca” without permission and that these were obtained “illegally”. through interception of electronic files. Gutenberg reminds that both it and the author have the sole authority to decide if and when parts of the work will be published.
Documento by Costas Vaxevanis responded by accusing the publishing house of attempted censorship and an attempt to silence journalistic control. He argues that the injunctions have no legal basis and that the aim is to prevent the newspaper from criticizing in the content of the book, especially in the part that concerns Tsipras’ “self-criticism” for his attitude towards the channel owners during the TV license period.
In its text, Documento says that other media outlets are already publishing parts of the book that portray the former prime minister favorably, leaving spikes that only his own criticism bothered. “Journalism cannot function as a press office nor participate in the rebranding of political figures,” he notes characteristically.
Polaki’s intervention
To the setting that is being formed is added the Pavlos Polakis, who left clear hints of a possible conflict with Alexis Tsipras, if what Documento reports is verified. In his post he states: “If what Vaxevanis writes is true, then… YAY”, stressing that he expects to read the book and how he will defend its dignity and truth.
The landscape surrounding the release of “Ithaca” now seems especially tense, with artists, journalists and political figures taking positions, even before the book reaches the public’s hands.
