“This morning the president of PASOK said in a televised interview: “We have confused honor crimes with gross corruption involving gangs, let’s not confuse them all. A vendetta means a crime of honor.”
Can he explain to us what he means?” said Pavlos Marinakis.
The government spokesman added: “Are there ‘justified’ killings?” Are there murders of greater and some of lesser depravity? Is Mr. Androulakis preparing to propose a change to the criminal code that makes a murder in the context of a “vendetta” “soft”? Or is the obvious just happening, i.e. the president of PASOK is caressing the ears of some voters?”
And then he emphasized: “In any case, Mr. Androulakis owes an explanation, unless, after realizing what he said, he retracts his unacceptable statement.”
