Shocking are the details of the unimaginable tragedy that occurred in Achaia in the area of Agios Nikolaos Spaton earlier on Tuesday (11.11.2025). A 3 year old baby boyfell from a paddock of about 2 meters, seriously injured his head and shortly before 8 in the evening he ended up in the Karamandanio hospital of Patras.
According to the latest information from tempo24.news, the little boy was playing with a 25-year-old, distant relative of the familyin this region in western Achaia, even falling together from the paddock!
The child was taken seriously injured to Karamandanio in a very bad condition. The doctors proceeded with immediate intubation, but the little boy reportedly suffered a seizure. Doctors performed CPR for at least 40 minutes, but to no avail.
The fall also injured the young man, who is being treated at “Agios Andreas” hospital and was arrested, as a case was filed against him for manslaughter.
No one can believe the game that fate played in the tragic family, who at the time of the accident, were in a nearby field for agricultural work and the unfortunate child was under the supervision of the 25-year-old.

A large operation was immediately set up to transport the boy to Karamandanio and despite the great fight of the doctors and the efforts with CPRthe little boy did not manage to keep himself alive.
Parents and relatives of the family came to Karamandanio, who bowed upon hearing the tragic news.
As regards the clarification of the circumstances of the toddler’s fatal injury, the investigations of the police department of Western Achaia are ongoing, while the results of the forensic examination are also awaited.
