With 21 tractors and six farm cars have gathered outside the Ministry of Macedonia – Thrace breeders and farmers at Thessalonikiat noon on Tuesday (11.1.25).
The farmers and breeders who have arrived in the center of Thessaloniki are protesting about the delays in the subsidies from OPEKEPE and also about the compensations for smallpox in goats and sheep.

The farmers remain outside the ministry and ask to meet with the Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for Macedonia and Thrace, Costas Giulekas.

“We came for serious issues to give our demands to the government and the minister blew it through the back door. We won’t leave here if we don’t see him,” said farmer Vassilis Mavroskas.
As the minister’s associates explained to the farmers, Kostas Giulekas has been in Thrace since yesterday Monday, accompanying Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
