“The Organization was trapped in a complex system of chronic pathologies”
“The necessary, immediate and long-term reform interventions he carried out during his tenure at the Ministry of Rural Development and Food were mentioned by the former Minister, Spilios Livanos, to the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee” according to sources of SWwhich note that “The goal, as he said, was to “sanitize OPEKEPE, which was trapped in a complex system of chronic pathologies”.
“Specifically, as he noted, every effort was made to complete the Forestry Grazing Plans, the initiative was taken to transform OPEKEPE into an Independent Authority, OpenGov was designed and used for IACS applications and the announcement of “open” tenders for the selection of the Technical Consultant was issued” say the ND sources and add that “At the same time, two direct interventions were made.
-The first concerns the Ministerial Decisions issued to deal with the excessive and unjustified increase in the number of declared amnoerifia, the excessive increase in claims on public pasture lands and the illegal transfer of rights from the national reserve, in combination with the particularly increased controls throughout the country.
-The second is the formulation and implementation of a policy to transform the Organization and establish transparency at all levels, without jeopardizing the payment of aid for the year 2021″.
