The role of the imprisoned “Rabbit”

At the same time, the authorities are investigating the involvement of various persons, among them a imprisoned member of the Kargakis family, known by the nickname “Rabbit”.

The reason then, as now, is said to have been “who will command the village”. Finally, thanks to mediators and “peace brokers”, the families had managed to reconcile – temporarily.

The remains of the explosive device found in the house where the deadly explosion took place before the bloody incident in Vorizia are expected to reveal the man behind the bomb and provide answers to the crucial questions of the case.

The findings, kept in special bags, have already been sent to forensic laboratories, where they are being analyzed for traces of DNA or fingerprints that could reveal the identity of the bomber or even the maker of the device.

An important element for the authorities is the testimony of a couple, passengers in a gray jeep, recorded by a camera at the exit of the village a few minutes after the massacre.

The couple were passing by at the time of the shooting, and as it turns out, miraculously escaped. One of the bullets hit the front left tire of their vehicle, which burst, however the driver did not stop and managed to drive away, avoiding the fire.

The two witnesses are considered “key” to the development of the investigation, as they can provide valuable details about the crime scene.
