On Sunday (09.11.2025), three members of the Fragiadaki family who are allegedly involved in the massacre in the village of Vorizia in Heraklion, where 39-year-old Fanouris Kargakis and 56-year-old Evangelia Fragiadaki were killed, were sentenced to pre-trial detention.
These are the three accused brothers, who surrendered to the authorities last Monday, after the funeral of their deceased aunt, during the exchange of fire in Vorizia, Heraklion. Although the three members of the Fragiadakis family were to apologize tomorrow morning, the investigator went to the Heraklion Police Department to apologize in front of her, in the presence of lawyers.
After their confession, all three were sentenced to pre-trial detention.
At the same time, investigations continue to find all those involved in the bloody episode as well as those hiding behind the bomb in the house of 27-year-old Fragiadakis.
In fact, a team of EKAM carried out a search on Sunday morning in Psiloritis as part of the search for the weapons used by those involved in the bloody incident.
According to the same information, the police are also searching the mountain for two members of the Fragiadakis family in order to, on the one hand, get their testimonies – as they do not appear to be involved in the shootings but to be eyewitnesses – and on the other hand, to protect them from the new round of misogyny that has prevailed in the area.
