F-35, Rafale and F-16 “torn” the sky

This was emphasized by the Minister of National Defense in a post on the X social network Nikos Dendias.
“We had the opportunity to verify the exceptional abilities of our pilots, but also to see the F35 flight in the skies of the Saronic, which in the coming years will be a power multiplier of the Armed Forces, as a network-centric platform” underlined Mr. Dendias.

The air crossings of the fighters that took place shortly after 12:00 noon on the beach of Flisvos, in Paleo Faliro, impressed young and old alike.
The demonstration was attended by:
- Italian Air Force (ITAF) F-35 aircraft
- Rafale aircraft of 332 Squadron (114AM)
The F-16 “Zeus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Team - The T-6A “Daedalus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Team
- Historic Supermarine Spitfire MJ755 in formation with T-6 HARVARD
- Aircraft of the companies “Sky Express” and “Aegean Airlines”
“The Air Force is changing the era with enormous potential”
“We are in a changing era. We’re moving into F-35s, we’re moving into drones, we’re moving into other capabilities. But one thing will not change. The primary mission of the Air Force. The support of every Greek woman, every Greek man and our country”.
This was emphasized by Mr. Dendias, who visited today, Sunday, November 9, the Floisvos of Palaio Faliro, where he watched the air show organized by the Air Force, as part of the celebrations of the Archangel Michael.
“We celebrate together with the Archangels, the day of our Air Force. And I think that here the residents of Athens and Old Faliro they had the opportunity in this demonstration to understand the enormous potential of our Air Forcesaid Mr. Dendias.
And he continued: “But above all to realize the excellent level of human resources. Of the men and women who fly these planes. And by flying these planes, in the way they fly them, they provide safety to every Greek woman, to every Greek citizen.”
“They defend,” he pointed out, “our sovereignty and sovereign rights. He is next to society – as we said a few days ago in Elefsina – in our every need”.
The minister congratulated the Air Force chief and asked him to “convey to all the Airmen, but also to the Technicians and executives, the warmest congratulations, not only mine and the government’s, but the entire Greek society’s, for the amazing work they are doing.”
A 5th generation F-35 fighter aircraft of the Italian Air Force took part in the demonstrations.
Also participating were a pair of Rafale fighter jets, the Air Demonstration Teams of a single F-16 ‘Zeus’ and a single T-6A Texan II ‘Daedalus’, historic T6 ‘Harvard’ and ‘Spitfire Mk IX’ aircraft.
Demonstration of flying capabilities was also done by civil aircraft of the companies “Sky Express” and “Aegean Airlines”.
Present at the event were MP Dionysis Hatzidakis as a representative of the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos, Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Haris Theoharis and MP Sofia Voultepsi.
In terms of military leadership the head of the General Directorate of Defense General Dimitrios Houpis, the head of General Directorate of Military Operations Vice-Admiral Dimitrios – Eleftherios Kataras PN, the commander of General Directorate of General Aviation Vice-Admiral (I) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the commander of the Supreme Military Command of the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean, lieutenant general Dimitrios Vakentis, were present as a representative of the commander of General Directorate of General Aviation.
The Deputy Regional Governor of the Southern Sector Gina Adamopoulou, the mayor of Palaio Faliro Yiannis Fostiropoulos, the mayor of Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni Grigoris Constantellos, officials of the Civil Aviation Authority, and representatives of agencies were also present.
Also present were honorary commanders, senior and senior officers of the Armed Forces, representatives of the Security Forces, the ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri and Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri of Qatar, Defense Attachés of foreign countries.
