Serious incidents in pro demonstration immigrants at Chicago after immigration police raided their homes. An unknown person opened fire on the authorities and has remained missing since that moment.
The shooting occurred on Saturday (08.11.2025), the US Department of Homeland Security announced, saying that the man started shooting at border guards in Chicago who were on patrol to detect illegal immigrants. None of the police or protesters were injured.
DHS said the suspect, who was driving a black Jeep, has not yet been arrested. Police in Chicago said officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and enforced order.

“There are no reports of anyone being hit by gunfire,” Chicago police said in a statement.
The incident occurred during a protest in the Little Village neighborhood after federal law enforcement raids to make the arrest irregular immigrants.

Protesters threw paint and bricks at border guard vehicles during operations.
“Over the past two months, we have seen an increase in attacks and obstruction against federal law enforcement agencies,” DHS said via X.

Raids in Chicago and its suburbs, including one at a daycare center this week, have sparked protests and violent arrests.

More than 10 suburban mothers were arrested yesterday Friday at an immigration detention center in the western suburbs of Broadview, the focus of protests over Republican President Donald Trump’s administration’s “Operation Midway Blitz.”
The immigration sweeps began in September, with the stated goal of deporting “dangerous criminals” who do not have a legal right to stay. According to DHS, more than 3,000 arrests have since been made. But that number includes US citizens and people with white criminal records, according to the press.
